Industry Overview

By 2010 the National Science Foundation (NSF) projects a $1.1 trillion dollar market of Nanotechnology related good and services, with initial demand originating from the electronics and materials industries. The electronics industry is one of the largest users of carbon nanotubes (CNT), specifically single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) and is experiencing significant growth. CNTs were discovered in 1991 and after an additional 10 years of research the worldwide nanotechnology industry increased from a $ 30 million industry in 2001 to a $10 billion industry in 2004 (source: National Nanotechnology Initiative). By 2014 the amount of products expected to be produced with nanotechnology is approximately $3 trillion (source: NanoBusiness Alliance trade Group).

Nanotailor intends to capitalize on its industry opportunity through its trade secrets and patents licensed from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Nanotailor is positioned to be the premier supplier of SWCNTs to technology and material leaders world-wide.

Popular Applications

Shown below are a few popular applications for CNTs. As the industry matures other applications will become prevalent. Nanotailor's goal is to increase and accelerate adoption of CNTs into new applications by increasing availability of high quality CNTs at a lower cost.
